Contract award: Zohr field in Egypt

Last week we visited the ONS 2016 in Stavanger and the Monty Python song «Always look at the bright side of life» was played to make us remember there is still some optimism in the industry. We know if there are not enough projects for us in the North Sea, we need to export our valves out of Europe.

In June 2016 Aker Solutions announced they were awarded delivery of their longest-ever umbilical system for the Zohr gas field located offshore Egypt.

Aker Solutions awarded us the contract for delivery of high pressure valves for the Zohr project. We will deliver both soft seated and metal seated ball valves for this project. Together with projects such as Catcher, Oseberg Vestflanken and Maria, this will be a great year for our subsea department.

We know high quality delivery is not only based on the quality of the product, we also need to provide the correct documentation, and we need to do all this at the promised date! We will therefore need to maintain the good relationship with our suppliers and partners and to put just as much effort into the documentation and quality procedures as we do in the production.

Products to be delivered to the Zohr project:

  • 2″ Ball valve M2M 690 bar
  • 2″ Ball Valve Soft seated 450 bar
  • 3″ Ball valve Soft seated 450 bar
