Compact valves for Breidablikk

Norvalves delivered 18 compact 2” 690 bar ball valves to be used for the Tie-In pressure caps on Equinor’s Breidablikk project. This is yet another successful delivery to the Norwegian Continental Shelf of our products for the highly demanding conditions of the North Sea.

Breidablikk is developed by Equinor in partnership with Petoro AS, Vår Energi AS and ConocoPhillips Skandinavia and is one of the largest undeveloped oil discoveries on the Norwegian continental shelf. The expected production from the field is about 200 million barrels.

Norvalves won the contract to deliver valves for the Tie-In pressure caps due to the compact size and field-proven history. At end of February, we shipped all 18 valves within a very short lead time.

Norvalves works closely with the engineers from several of the biggest EPC companies to develop bespoke valves to solve special demands, save weight and reduce project costs. Our 2″ 690 bar ball valve has a small footprint and can be easily modified to be used for multiple systems and requirements.
